Low and slow-growing, this witch's broom discovery from Secrest Arboretum in Ohio, has attractive horizontal branching. The deciduous, spreading bun produces short, bright green shoots in late spring, maintains good green in summer and takes on a delightful fall gold. Bare, winter branches have a rustic, red-brown presence. Prefers a moist site, but quite adaptable if given full sun.
