Pseudotsuga menziesii 'Little Jon'
Globose | Zone 6
Dwarf | Green
This extremely dwarf Douglas Fir has a neat, globose habit in youth and a broad, upright habit with age. The rich-green needles are the same color as the species. Found in 1969 by Albert Ziegler in York County, PA, it was named after his first grandchild, Jonathan Ziegler. The original plant that grew at Masonic Homes was destroyed in 2002. Well-drained soil and full sun produce best results.
