The dense, golden foliage of this carpet-like juniper takes on a third dimension as elongated streamers of new growth appear to float over the body of the plant and creep beyond the edges. 'Golden Carpet' is more vigorous than 'Mother Lode,' does well in full sun, is unusually clean for a horizontalis and takes on mauve tones in winter.
