			This species, which is endangered in its native Canary Islands, was collected at the highest elevation by Zolt Debreczy of the International Dendrological Research Institute in 1993. As a grafted plant, it has proven to be surprisingly hardy. Striking, white stems and pendulous, blue-green foliage provide a refreshing, light tone to the seldom-seen, moderately-sized, graceful tree.
