This popular, silver-blue tree develops a full, pyramidal habit that fits nicely in the limited space of urban and suburban gardens. Its soft, plumy, foliage contributes both color and character to smaller sites. Trees respond well to training, shearing and sculpting, too, so they are excellent choices for formal styles and artistic expression. Originated as a sport on Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Squarrosa'.
