Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Pygmaea Aurescens'			Globose \| Zone 5 Intermediate \| Yellow/Green
			This slow growing conifer boasts good health, hardiness and reliability. It is unique among Hinokis, though, because it spreads out horizontally and provides beautiful seasonal colors, making it a valuable accent for the year-round garden. In spring and summer, foliage on the broad branches is bronze-green, but in fall and winter, it becomes rich orange copper. Rusty coral bark adds to the striking look too. Site it to accent an elevated knoll or bank, or use it as a low foreground plant in moist, well-drained soil in full sun or light shade.
