Cupressus cashmeriana  Upright Broad 8 Large Bluish Green Ascending branches with long, draping branchlets give the blue-green Kashmir Cypress a graceful posture. Large, upright and broad, it puts on over a foot of new growth a year. Since it prefers warm temps and moist soil, enjoy the beautiful tree where the climate is temperate, or indoors, in a large, well-lighted space, like an atrium or grand entry. Discovered in the mid-1800's, cashmeriana is no longer found in the wild.
Cupressus glabra 'Blue Pyramid' Upright Broad 6 Large Blue This broad, upright selection has outstanding, vibrant, powder-blue foliage that is especially effective when seen against its reddish bark. Useful as a dramatic focal point and as a color accent in the garden.
Cupressus macrocarpa 'Donard Gold' Upright Narrow 7 Intermediate Yellow Bright, eye-catching 'Donard Gold' shines in the garden with distinctive, two-tone yellow foliage. Chartreuse new growth surrounds radiant, lemon-yellow inner foliage, and both stand out against reddish, cinnamon bark. Upright branches produce a narrow form, and the foliage has a pleasant citrus scent. Originated in Ireland.
Cupressus macrocarpa 'Saligna Aurea' Upright Broad 7 Large Yellow This gracefully spreading Monterey Cypress has delicate, draping filifera-type foliage. Given consistent moisture and a temperate climate, it grows quickly into a big, open tree with brilliant, yellow foliage. Young trees start out a little gangly, like young pups, but with time will mature into formidable specimens. Give this beauty, discovered more than a century ago in Australia, room to show off.
