This unique beauty is a real eye catcher. A true blue in color, this spreading slow grower is nearly flat when young, developing a leader with age, if not pruned. New growth is light green-blue. Found at Iseli Nursery in 1979. Its soft featherly look and distinctive color and shape make it destined to be a classic among cedars. 6-8" per year. 6 ft. Spread. Very slow-growing, steel-blue, congested bun. Short branches and radiating needles give a pin-cushion effect. New growth is green changing to blue as the season progresses. This mounding, compact grower has ivory-white new growth, turning creamy-yellow. While a leader will develop with age, the plant remains small and compact compared to the species.
